It’s the first and only Philippine medical school to have an institutional clerkship program with a foreign hospital. In fact, the University has sent over 100 medical students for clerkship training at the Brooklyn Medical Center and Peninsula Hospital in New York and Jackson Park Hospital in Chicago. Thus, creating career opportunities abroad for young men and women.

In its almost more than 40 years of existence, OLFU has graduated more than 70,000 medical and allied medical health practitioners from all disciplines. Proof that makes OLFU a valuable contributor in the development of the medical and paramedical professions in the Philippines and abroad.

The OLFU College of Medicine is housed in five buildings where you’ll find the school’s lecture halls, seminar and conference rooms, research and teaching laboratories, classrooms, amphitheater, library facilities with audio-visual monitors, and administrative offices of the departments.

Our Lady Fatima University (OLFU) is one of the premier universities in the Philippines. The university is a non-profit, private higher education institution located in the city of Valenzuela. For Indian students who seek MBBS program in Philippines the OLFU offers:

The year 1967, marked the auspicious beginnings of what OLFU become a premier educational institution in the country particularly in the field of medicine, nursing, and paramedical courses. It all started when Jose C. Olivares, a chemistry professor by vocation but with strong entrepreneurial spirit, and his son-in-law, Dr.Vicente M. Santos, an obstetrician, founded the Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in 1967.

The hospital became a primary provider of medical services to the residents of Valenzuela and its neighbouring towns. With a vision of creating a medical complex that will be a training center for competent health care providers, Mr. Olivares created the Fatima Medical Science Foundation Inc. and initially established the Our Lady of Fatima College of Nursing in 1973. More curricular programs were added in the 1970s including courses in Midwifery, Chemistry, and Veterinary Medicine. From the 1980s through the 1990s the country witnessed the development of OLFU with the inclusion of other courses and programs such as Physical Therapy, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Computer Studies, Maritime Education and Criminology.

Officially accredited by the Commission on Higher Education, Philippines, OLFU annually enrolls over-45,000 students. The university offers high education degrees such as undergraduate certificates/diplomas, associate degrees, bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study.

OLFU has campuses in Quezon City, Quezon City (Hilltop Campus), Antipolo City and Pampanga. International students are eligible to apply for enrolment. OLFU which provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sports facilities, and/or activities, study abroad and exchange programs, online courses and distance learning opportunities, as well as administrative services.

Our Lady Fatima Hospital Valenzuela city is a 200 beds tertiary care (Surgery, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Emergency Medicine, ENT, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Endocrinology) facility. The Quezon City General Hospital is a 500 bed Hospital (Family Medicine, Gynaecology, Surgery, Radiology, Oncology) while Fabella Hospital is a 500 bed (OB and GY, Paediatrics, Surgery ) facility. OLFU’s Children’s General Hospital at Manila is a 600 beds (Neonatal, Paediatrics, Children diseases) facility.

All papers must be authenticated by the Philippine Embassy. OLFU processes study permits and students visas upon acceptance into the school. OLFU offers special language programs to address the needs of foreign students.


CHECKLIST OF DOCUMENTARY REQUIREMENTS FOR CONVERSION TO STUDENT VISA

  1. Joint letter request addressed to the Commissioner from the authorized representative of the petitioning school and applicant, using the school letterhead with dry seal
  2. Duly accomplished CGAF for Student Visa and Special study Permit
  3. Photocopy of passport pages bearing the bio-page, latest admission with valid authorized stay and Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) stamp
  4. Notice of Acceptance of the applicant bearing a clear impression of the school’s official dry seal
  5. Endorsement addressed to the commissioner from the school for the conversion of the applicant’s status, signed by the School Registrar
  6. Certificate of Eligibility for Admission from commission on Higher Education (CHED), in case of Medicine/Dentistry
  7. CHED Endorsement for transfer and shifting of course, if applicable
  8. National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance, if applicable if filed six (6) months or more from the date of first arrival in the Philippines
  9. Photocopy of BI school accreditation IF of the registrar or school representative
  10. BI Clearance Certificate
